Rendevous On The Plain

"Why, hello, beautiful lady. Why running all by yourself?" the stallion called, the mare giving a little start of suprise. Where had the stallion come from? She would have sworn she had been all by herself. It was like he had appeared out of thin air.

"Oh, you look suprise. Excuse my sudden entrance, but I could not watch you unseen any longer." the stallion returned smoothly, while running alongside the solven mare, who just twitched an ear at him.
"Have you been stalking me? You are aware that this is not the way of a gentleman?" she asked.

The stallion just laughed,
"Stalking you? Who am I? A wolf?"
"I do not know. So far you are a solitary stallion, who appeared out of thin air. You might as well be a wolf in disguise." she returned, the stallion smirked.
"Oh, but I'm not by myself, I run with my herd, beautiful." he grinned, briefly bobbing his head upwards.

The mare followed his glance and to her suprise the clouds were rolling alongside them, like thousands of horses galopping over the sky.
"Who . . . what are you?" the mare asked, her gaze returning to the stallion.
"Oh, but you should know me. We already have been running together many times, my dear Lyasonne." he merely returned, the mare growing a bit impatient at this statement.

"Don't you dare playing with me, stallion! I never ran with you and how do you know my name?" she spoke firmly.
The stallion just laughed,
"Haha, oh, I'm not playing with you. It is you who is playing with me. Ever since you were a foal you have played with me, enjoyed my company. I have always admired you, beautiful. Free and proud, never to be tamed or bond, just like myself."

"Enough now! Answer my question! Who are you to know me that well?" the mare demanded.
"I am the Southwind, beautiful lady. Your faithful companion, your greatest admirer. I know that it is freedom that you desire and pride is what leads you. I came to ask you to if you would like to join my herd." he answered, the mare just snorting a laugh.
"Well, if you know me that well, you should know that I do neither need nor desire a herd!" she said.
The stallion merely gave another laugh,
"Oh, I know. My herd is freedom, dearest and that is what I'm offering you."
